Dr. Erin O’Connor is an AVCA animal chiropractor. She began college at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL with a Bachelors of Science in biological sciences. She continued onto Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA to receive her Doctorate in Chiropractic. During her last year at Palmer, she also attended an American Veterinary Chiropractic Association accredited program at Parker University in Dallas, TX, which is an additional 220 credit hours of animal chiropractic coursework and became board certified in animal chiropractic.
Dr. O’Connor frequently lectures for various dog groups, provides demonstrations on canine chiropractic, has provided magazine and television interviews, mentors students interested in animal chiropractic on a regular basis, teaches Anatomy & Physiology at College of DuPage, volunteers chiropractic care at Fox Valley Wildlife Center in Elburn, and is the Vice President of the Holistic Chamber of Commerce-Chicagoland.
Dr. O’Connor mostly adjusts dogs and cats; but has adjusted everything from chipmunks, ducks, geese, goats, pigs, rabbits, squirrels, raccoons, opossums, deer, and even a woodchuck!
In her free time, Dr. O’Connor enjoys scuba diving, traveling, cooking, hiking, fine arts, and of course spending time with her own pets! Dr. O’Connor has an Italian greyhound, a border collie, and an African grey parrot.
